Borough (BGC)
U/G, C2, Bonifacio High Street Central, 7th Avenue, Bonifacio Global City, 1630 Taguig
For the past few months, Petra Gana, Gian Lao, and Antonia Potenciano worked on a tiny little zine called “What We Can See of the Sky.” The zine includes poems and photographs that deal with memory, longing, distance, space, and other pretentious concerns with a little “foreigner in Tokyo” flavor. The paper is also really, really nice. The zines are selling for 500 pesos each, and the creators will be there to have just a bit too much to drink, and to write heartfelt dedications, if you want them to.
Though we don’t have a lineup yet, we’re inviting some of our friends to read poetry on a small stage, or sing, or do whatever one does with a single mic setup. It will be followed by the openest mic in the history of open mics, and general merriment. We’ll be serving some drinks and finger food, but in case we run out, please patronize Borough. Their food is as good as I remembered from their Podium days!
Please do drop by and grab a copy. It would be advisable to reserve copies as well, just so we guarantee that we can get you one. Just send us a message.
See you there!
