ARTSPEAK WITH AGNES ARELLANO
Moderated by Isa Nazareno
to be followed by the Sculptures Speak Zine Launch

In celebration of International Women’s Month and in partnership with the Ateneo Library of Women’s Writings (ALiWW), we are hosting an ArtSpeak session with visual artist, Agnes Arellano on March 11 at the Ben Chan ArtSuite. Join us as she discuss her works from Inscapes, an outdoor installation on view at the outer coves of Areté, and her artistic practice, tools, and inspirations highlighted in ALiWW’s new exhibit, “Sacred Feminine: Objects, Images and Imaginings”. This talk will be moderated by ALiWW Executive Director, Ms. Isa Nazareno.

After ArtSpeak, we will be launching Sculptures Speak – a poetry collection written by selected students from the Ateneo Fine Arts Department, writers Marne Kilates, Mookie Katigbak-Lacuesta, and Bina Sarkar Elias. These poems were inspired by Arellano’s works from Inscapes and were first presented during the Sculptures Speak: Ekphrastic Poetry Reading event last November 2019.
