A Benefit Gig for the Aetas at Porac Pampanga

Pakundangan
n. reverence, respect (specially for age, holy things, traditions, honor, and the like)
The Aeta people in Barefoot Philippines’ partner community, Katutubo Village, are great storytellers; people full of energy, laughter, and hope. They remain so despite lack of access to potable sources of water and having to make sacrifices such as waking up very early in the day to collect a drums-full of water to prepare for the day’s activities.
Given the opportunity to interact with the Aetas, I was deeply moved by their reality. With this, I hope to enjoin everyone in spreading awareness, respecting and sharing in the Aetas’ stories as we take part in an afternoon of music and arts that fittingly celebrates equity and hope on March 14 (1-5pm) at Jess & Pat’s
