The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the world as we know it. As an artist, how do you envision life in the time of COVID-19?
We encourage you to answer this question through your art. Art+ Magazine invites you to join our project—Brave New World.
Brave New World has two components: an online exhibition and book project (coffee table book to be released in the first quarter of 2021). To help the artists involved make a living despite the quarantine and to assist in funding this historic project, the Brave New World selling exhibition will present a collection of artworks by various artists, inspired by the bravery of people who continue to persevere despite the severe impact of the pandemic and the challenges of living in the new normal.
To join the Brave New World Online Exhibition, please submit both your artwork and its digital image. You may submit more than one artwork
Artwork Submission
- Deadline: On or before June 15, 2020
- Subject: COVID-19 and its effects on our world, society and day-to-day life (Ex. Frontliners, checkpoint, supermarket line, working from home, etc.)
- Medium: Any medium of your choice, but painting and sculpture will be predominant.
- Size: At least 24 x 30 inches
- Consignment period: 3 months or longer (upon discussion with Art+)
- Sharing: To be discussed with Art+
Digital Image Submission
- Please Send by Email to: BraveNewWorldProj@gmail.com.
- Deadline: On or before June 15, 2020
- Subject heading: Your Name – Brave New World Project
- Image Specifications: Digital images should be in high-resolution jpeg format (9×12 inches image size, 300 dpi resolution). Please take straight-on photo.
- Photo file name: Input the Artist’s Name, Title, Year, Size and Medium.
- Include with your submission: an Artist’s Statement about the Work and your updated CV and Bio.
Artwork Drop-off
- Drop off your artwork at the Magazine Office on or before June 15.
