A series of Spanish films online

This November, Instituto Cervantes de Manila, in collaboration with the Festival de Cine Europeo de Sevilla, is presenting the online film series “New Cinephilia”, a showcase of present Spanish cinema.

In line with this, everyone’s invited to enjoy for FREE some recent movies from Spain, to be screened every weekend of the month.

On Saturday, Nov 6, and Sunday, Nov 7, catch the film Arima (2019). Available on demand at any time during these two days, this thriller by Spain’s Jaione Camborda can be viewed for free and with English subtitles by clicking here:

Arima is the story of four women and a girl who are altered by the unexpected arrival of two outsiders. One of them flees from the other, hiding in the town as an elusive, phantasmagorical being of dubious existence. The other, a wounded man with a gun, will disrupt the women’s lives in different ways. All this will move on the border between the real and the imagined, between nightmare and dream, between fear and desire, in a story impregnated with mystery.
