Art+ Magazine holds its second Art Writing for Media workshop

Writing about art is just as necessary as the art itself. Even after National Arts Month ends, exhibitions continue to take place in Metro Manila, creating plenty of opportunities for art writers to flourish. Art+ Magazine, the longest-running print publication dedicated to chronicling visual arts in the Philippines, hosts its second edition of “Art Writing for Media.”

Art Writing for Media is a two-day immersive writing workshop that caters to writers who want to branch out into writing about visual arts, with the intention of being published. Their first workshop resulted in the discovery of new writers who are now actively practicing their craft.

The two-day workshop covers topics such as the basics of writing for media, writing about art accessibly and critically. The topics will be discussed by practitioners in the field namely Alain Camiling, Gwen Bautista, and Marz Aglipay.

Art Writing for Media is scheduled to take place on the 21st and 28th of March at Altro Mondo Creative Space in Chino Roces, Makati City. The workshop will be followed by the opening receptions of solo exhibitions by Rico Lascano, Enrique Tabuena, Orley Ypon, and Marius Black at 6 PM.
