Catch comics creators from Komiket, Mitzi Thea Bajet and Mel Casipit, on ARTS ONLINE on November 17, 2021 at 10 am via the Cultural Center of the Philippines Facebook Page.

 

 

Mitzi Bajet is a Visual Communications graduate of the University of the Philippines-Diliman’s College of Fine Arts. She is a learning experience designer at Habi Education Lab and has been self-publishing her own comics over the last 5 years. As a learning experience designer, she creates well-designed and human-centered learning experiences, such as workshops, webinars, and learning courses to name a few. And as a komikera, her self-published works include a trilogy called “The Nowhere Tree”, a variety of one-shot comic titles named “Karnaval”, “Diary of Meditations”, and “Glass Heart”.

 

 

Mel Casipit is a freelance comics creator and illustrator also known as “Mukatman”. His comic strip “Parekoys” is serialized in The Manila Bulletin every Sunday. Mel’s independent comics, Baboy, Dogstyle, and MLU won as Best Entry at Komikons Comics Creation Contest in 2008-2009. His Comics Mukat, Baboy, and MLU also won as Best Grassroot on Komikon awards, 2011. He works online with clients for Comics, Book Illustrations, Caricatures, Designs, murals, etc. He also edits videos for their Youtube channel, Indie Komiks Podcast where they conduct interviews and cover comics events.
