Virtual Exhibit

Arturo Luz: First Light will be a virtual re-mounting of the exhibition curated by Ambeth Ocampo at the Ayala Museum in 13 February – 11 June 2017.

Organized to celebrate the 90th birth anniversary of the National Artist, the display gathered paintings and sculptures spanning the 60 years of his artistic career and legacy, counting from his first paintings in 1952.

Arturo Luz: First Light will be Ayala Museum’s first virtual gallery experience and it will go live for Luz’s 94th birthday on November 20, 2020.

This exhibition is part of Ayala Museum’s Images of Nation program which showcases works by Filipino artists who have been named National Artists in the Visual Arts. Its primary aim is to share the extraordinary vision and formal excellence embodied in this award.

This year, Arturo Luz: First Light also becomes Ayala Museum’s first virtual gallery experience.
