BAZOOKA ROCKS started with the vision of making the festival experience tailor-made to the Philippines and well much of Southeast Asia – which is hot and often sweltering, much of the time excessively humid, and susceptible to torrential rains. Hence, our quirky but straight-to-the-point motto: Air-conditioning & Shelter From The Rains ROCKS! Because it does.
Now on its third year, BAZOOKA ROCKS has already brought some of the greatest names to thousands and thousands of young people in the Philippines – and this year, the festival is now happening in two days, August 30 and 31 at SMX Convention Center, and will feature a line-up that will surely ignite the fires inside of the young and the young at heart.
DAY 1
THE USED is an American rock band from Orem, Utah, that formed in 2001. The group consists of lead vocalist and keyboardist Bert McCracken, guitarist Quinn Allman, bassist Jeph Howard, and drummer Dan Whitesides who replaced founding member Branden Steineckert in 2006. They are known for their songs “All That I’ve Got”, “I Caught Fire” and their latest song “Cry”.
TAKING BACK SUNDAY is an American rock band from Amityville, NY, formed in 1999 by guitarist Eddie Reyes. Current members of the band are Adam Lazzara (lead vocals), John Nolan (lead guitar, back-up vocals), Eddie Reyes (rhythm guitar), Shaun Cooper (bass guitar) and Mark O’Connell (drums), known for their hits “Cute Without the ‘E’ (Cut From The Team)”, “Make Damn Sure” and “Stood a Chance” among many others.
SAVES THE DAY is an American alternative rock band from Princeton, New Jersey, formed in 1997.The band consists of lead vocalist and guitarist Chris Conley, guitarist Arun Bali, bassist Rodrigo Palma, and drummer Dennis Wilson. They are known for theur songs “At Your Funeral”.
SENSES FAIL is an American post-hardcore band from Ridgewood, New Jersey. Formed in 2002, the line up initially consisted of James “Buddy” Nielsen, Dan Trapp, Dave Miller, Garrett Zablocki and James Gill. Shortly after being signed to Drive Thru Records, James Gill was kicked out of the band due to irreconcilable differences. James Gill was replaced with Mike Glita. The only original member left in the band is vocalist Buddy Nielsen. Presently, the lineup now consists of James “Buddy” Nielsen, Dan, guitar players Zack Roach and Matt Smith, along with bassist Jason Black. They are known for their songs “Buried a Lie” and “Bloody Romance”.
Local acts from all over the Philippines will also showcase their take on music. For DAY 1 is Brickcity, Ria Bautista, Tiger Pussy, Runway Crimes and for DAY 2 Chicosci, Gracenote, December Avenue, Nyctinasty and Paranoid City.

DAY 2
YOU ME AT SIX are a British rock band from Weybridge, Surrey. Formed in 2004, the group rose to fame in 2008 with the success of their debut album, Take Off Your Colours, which included the singles “Save It for the Bedroom”, “Finders Keepers” and “Kiss and Tell”, with the latter two peaking at No. 33 and No. 42 respectively in the official UK Singles Chart. The band’s main influences include American rock bands Blink-182, Incubus and Thrice. They are known for their songs “Stay With Me”, “Bite My Tongue” and “Reckless”.
WE ARE THE IN CROWD is an American pop punk band from Poughkeepsie, New York, formed in 2009. The band consists of Taylor Jardine (born 7 March 1990), Jordan Eckes (born 24 March 1987), Mike Ferri (born 7 May 1987), Rob Chianelli (born 27 June 1987), Cameron Hurley (born 2 August 1990). They released their debut EP, Guaranteed To Disagree, on June 8, 2010 and followed it up with their first full-length album, Best Intentions in 2011. Their second full-length album, Weird Kids, was released on February 18, 2014. They are known for their songs “Kiss Me Again”, “Rumor Mill” and “The Best Thing”.
THE SUMMER SET is an American pop rock band from Scottsdale, Arizona. The band currently consists of vocalist Brian Dales, guitarist, backing vocalist and pianist John Gomez, bassist Stephen Gomez, guitarist Josh Montgomery and drummer Jess Bowen. They are known for their hits “Boomerang” and “Lightning in a Bottle”.
ECHOSMITH is an American alt-pop band formed in February 2009 in Southern California. The band is composed of four siblings: Graham, Sydney, Noah, and Jamie Sierota. Echosmith signed to Warner Bros. Records in May 2012. Their other hits “Cool Kids” and “Talking Dreams” are now all over the airwaves be it local or international.
COLDRAIN is a rock band from Nagoya. The band mixes melodic singing alongside screams typical of the post-hardcore genre and are known for their songs “The Revelation” and “The War Is On”.
