Breaking The Habit

Group Exhibition

Jet Rai‎ArtExpands Yesterday · BREAKING THE HABIT group exhibition Opens tomorrow, Saturday June 24 6pm at DITO: Bahay ng Sining, Marikina Please read.. This coming June 24 the art collective behind Stroke Art Zine, Dagitab, will be opening their group show entitled, "Breaking The Habit." Every single day, as you walk down the street and pass by people, look at strangers in the eye, speak to your friends, to the nicest person you know, and even as you look at yourself in front of the mirror, you see just the surface of something so complex and cavernous. There is a saying that goes “There is more than what meets the eye.” So what is more than what our eyes meet in the people around us and in ourselves? It is what’s inside, and what’s inside are demons we hide, demons we fight. We all have bad habits we consciously or unconsciously know, that eventually build up the demons inside. Breaking The Habit is literally about breaking the habit. As the artists of this show depict or share their own habits and demons, We all have demons inside, we all have habits we want to fight [DITO: Bahay ng Sining]
