Working in collages, paintings, and prose, Regina Reyes’ second solo exhibition with MONO8 begins with inquiries and reflections about time as it dwindles as we tread and create paths in familiar and unfamiliar places. The exhibition “Chasing the Quiet” is an earnest re-introduction of oneself and living a period of re-discovery. Reyes writes, “A blanket of flowers; a blanket of fields. Recording certain ways of seeing”. The exhibition is an ode to a jaunt to understanding the predictability and randomness of life’s design.

Regina Reyes (b. 1993, Manila) integrates painting, sculpture, and collage in her practice. Her works are influenced by personal narratives that are tied to universal contexts. Reyes works around the idea of home, decay, and relational experiences as constantly changing constructs. She received her BFA (Painting) from the University of the Philippines, Diliman, and has been exhibiting extensively since 2013. She now lives between Manila and General Santos City in Mindanao.
