Yes, CINE FILIPINO Film Festival 2015 is back!!!
The biennial (every other year) filmfest which gave us awesome films like “Ang Huling Chacha Ni Anita”, “Puti”, “The Guerilla Is A Poet”, etc. in 2013 is once again happening later this year – and is now definitely BIGGER!
To all storytellers, this is for you! There are now FOUR (4) major categories to join in – feature-length films, shorts (mobile, online, and short feature), documentary films, and TV series!
Here are the CineFilipino Film Festival 2015 Mechanics, Prizes & Forms:
CineFilipino Film Festival 2015, organized and led by Unitel Productions, Inc., aims to support and develop new cinematic, audience-friendly works of artistic merit by up-and-coming and established filmmakers to help define the human experience through a Filipino perspective.
The festival features a competition for feature-length movies, shorts section (mobile, online content, and short features), documentary, and TV series in digital format. The projects should be narratives that delve into the Filipino identity and culture.
CATEGORIES:
The four (4) Major Competition Categories (w/ the number of finalists to be selected) are:
- FEATURE-LENGTH CATEGORY– 10 Finalists
- SHORTS SECTION, with the following Sub-Categories:
2.1. Mobile Category (for students) – 10 Finalists
2.2. Online Content Category (open-to-all) – 10 Finalists
2.3. Short Feature Category (open-to-all) – 10 Finalists - DOCUMENTARY CATEGORY – 5 Finalists
- TV SERIES CATEGORY – 5 Finalists
SEED MONEY / GRANT:
Finalists per category, except for the Shorts Section, shall receive the following SEED MONEY / GRANT:
- Feature-Length Category — Two Million Pesos (P2 Million) seed money per finalist
- Documentary Category — One Hundred Fifty Thousand Pesos (P 150,000) seed money per finalist
- TV Series Category — Five Hundred Thousand Pesos (P 500,000) seed money per finalist to produce a pilot episode
CASH PRIZES:
WINNERS in each category shall receive the following CASH PRIZES:
1. FEATURE-LENGTH CATEGORY:
1st Prize Winner – P 500,000
2nd Prize Winner – P 300,000
3rd Prize Winner – P 200,000
2. SHORTS SECTION:
2.1. Mobile Category — One Winner– P 50,000 and 9 Runners-Up– P 25,000 each
2.2. Online Content Category — One Winner– P 100,000 and 9 Runners-Up– P 50,000 each
2.3. Short Feature Category — One Winner– P 200,000 and 9 Runners-Up– P 50,000 each
3. DOCUMENTARY CATEGORY:
1st Prize Winner – P 100,000
2nd Prize Winner – P 75,000
3rd Prize Winner – P 25,000
4. TV SERIES CATEGORY:
1st Prize Winner – P 300,000
2nd Prize Winner – P 200,000
3rd Prize Winner – P 100,000
DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION of entries (full length scripts) is on April 30, 2015 (Thursday).
