Germany based Filipina illustrator takes a new role in climate talks.
Desiree is a passionate communicator and illustrator. Over the years, she has worked on climate and development related issues which have provided her with the appropriate lens, communication skills and network.
She is immersed in climate science and public policy on the international, national and grassroots level. As a DAAD scholar, she studied Masters in Climate Policy in the University of Potsdam, Germany. As a complement, her Bachelor in Psychology gave her the foundational curiosity on human behavior and environmental attitudes. In her free time, she loves to take long walks – one of which was a 1,500 kilometer walk from Rome to Paris for two months. She joined the People’s Pilgrimage to bring the interfaith message to the climate talks in Paris.
She believes in the power of harnessing creativity to effectively communicate complex issues. She is a committed listener, curious learner, and an innovative social artist.
