The Second Edition
Sixteen (16) word artists converge in Heat 2, a collection of erotic poetry and prose, published by Rezureccion Art Project, a cultural and artistics events outfit, headed by Recci Bacolor together with Kanto Artist Collective.
The chapbook includes the works of Cedrix Perez and Jake Zakk Habitan (Titi at Puke, literally means penis and vagina); Toni Flores (Sa Katapusan ng Isang Halik/At the End of a Kiss); Saya W. (Parking Lot); Slac Cayamada (Orange Peels); J. Luna (Niig/Making Love); Lui Galang (Malamig ang Pebrero Hindi Dahil sa Amihan/February Is Cold But Not Due to Southeast Winds); Cherry Red (M(K)atalik na (K(N)aibigan); Noel Sales Barcelona (Forbidden); Lukan Villanueva (Double Dead, Redundant, Redundant); Mina Cruz (Dark Hour); Boo Dabu (Choi); Zig Madamba Dulay (Bingo!); Kurt Russle Sosa (Ang Unang Gabing Mag-isa Akong Nakatayo/The Night I Was Standing Alone); Tia Austria (And We Shall); and Marius Black (Hexadecimal).
“The compilation is actually a celebration of sexuality, breaking free from the taboo about sexuality established by the society,” says Recci Bacolor, the one who was in-charge of the book project, in a statement.
Heat 2 will be launched on 19 June, 8:30 PM, at Boho Sarapsody Bistro, located at #272 Ermin Garcia Ave., Cubao, Quezon City.
There will be performances from Joyen, Corvus, Burn Belacho, Lukan Villanueva, and Project Mayhem. Some poets from the chapbook will also read their works, too.
