Objects with a story. Things with a history. Feelings and sentiments brought about by a moment captured in still life.

What does each item mean to you? What personal narrative will you have? Each work tells a different tale and speaks a different language to one’s heart.

Melvin Culaba in this body of work chose a new narrative. One that represents life in all its brevity, happiness, ambition, and focuses on the sentimental value of conversational pieces.

Snapshots and slices of life that will evoke varied responses from the viewer, yet still in keeping with the artists fundamental inspiration derived from personal and social issues.

Life is short as it is unpredictable.
Instilling life with purpose, and surrounding oneself with people and objects that are valuable to your heart, is what makes life truly meaningful.

It’s what a great story is made of.

What story will you tell?

“Sometimes memories sneak out of our hearts and roll down our cheeks.
Sometimes memories leap from our hearts and bring about joy.”
