International concert pianist Nick Nañgit returns with a concert

International concert pianist, lawyer, and intuitive Nick Nañgit returns to the music scene with a concert titled Timeless at the Manila Clock Tower Museum, Manila City Hall, on October 28.

Nañgit, on his Facebook post, says he was on hiatus in the local and international music scenes when his mom and dad died in 2018 and 2021, respectively.

So to speak, I have so much memories when they’re alive – Dad always asks me to play [the piano] whenever he has guests, and he himself also plays, and for Mom, you know that we’re in love-and-hate when it comes to her radio but later on, she always reminds me to take good care of my hands. I don’t want to play music anymore, except in a few occasions, as Christmas gift [to friends and fans],” he said.

But I was convinced to return, after five years, to the stage by my closest friend, to play again the piano for a one-hour free concert. This public performance coincides with the 20th year of my first public performance, with an orchestra at the Cultural Center of the Philippine],” he added.

Nañgit also said he would be joined by other creatives in the visual, literary, and performance arts field, playing music, singing, and reciting poetry in Filipino, Visaya, and English.

According to Nañgit, his concert coincides with the National Museum Month celebration this October.

This free concert will start at 3:00 PM and was made possible through the help of the City Government of Manila, the Manila Tourism, Culture and Arts Department, Museo de Pacis, and the 3 PM Pilipinas Muna.
