Part 3: Mapping Culture and Flavour: South Cotabato Cacao

This webinar focuses on getting Geographical Indications status for Fine/Flavour Cacao (FFC) and how Intellectual Property (IP) ownership can protect cacao farmer livelihood.

At the origin side Ernesto Pantua will narrate Kablon Farms history and handling of Intellectual Property ownership, while Patrick Belisario will explain how the concept of terroir and compliance to Code of Practice applies to fine cacao.

On the consumption side, Peter Schoenaker will host a tasting session with award winning chocolate makers, Mathieu Dierinck and Isobel Carse, who will talk about their experience with working with Kablon Farms’ cocoa fermentation protocols.
