The Arcade series by Owey explores this concept – inspired by the true story where the artist walked out of junior school with a classmate to play at the arcade and returned without any repercussions, much to their bemusement.
Imagine how such an experience would shape a child – a child who until that moment has been under strict rule, but has now developed a taste for autonomy!
Now view his story across each piece as told in the language of his brushstrokes…
