Manila Chamber Orchestra Foundation will be featuring cello music in our “MCOF Young Artists’ Series”. Hope you can come and join us in presenting:

Anjo Inacay, cellist
with Michelle Nicolasura , collaborating pianist

Anjo Inacay, praised for his “lush, exuberant tones“, and “ravishing lyrical moments”, is now considered as one of the finest and most versatile cellists in the country. A gifted cellist, he is a product of St. Scholastica’s College music program under full scholarship. He went to the Boston Conservatory for further cello studies. He has participated in the Asian Youth Orchestra tours. Inacay helped form and establish an experimental-alternative-rock band called “Silent Sanctuary” where he plays the cello and electric cello. He has also composed, arranged, produced, and recorded songs independently with recording contracts under Universal Records, Philippines. Upon his return from his studies abroad, he has been an active cello faculty member at St. Scholastica’s College, Manila, University of Santo Tomas, and MSO Music Academy. He also plays with the Manila Symphony Orchestra.

He will be performing the lovely Bach Suite for cello solo made popular by Yo Yo Ma, the joyful Mendelssohn Cello Sonata, and the epic Brahms first cello sonata.

The concert is made possible in partnership with Ayala Museum, Lyric Piano, DZFE.FM His Masters’ Touch, BusinessWorld and National Commission for Culture and the Arts.
