Nasaan ang katawan? Zine on becoming gendered to be read at Kwago Book Bar on June 29

Launched in the opening of MNLxVIE Equality Fest 2019: LGBTQIA+ Greatness in the Arts, Nasaan Ang Katawan?, a zine on becoming gendered, will be read and tackled at Kwago Book Bar on June 29, 8pm – 11pm.

The zine is partially funded by the Embassy of Austria, and it is edited, produced and published by Comma. Comma is a publishing and curatorial platform founded by writer and Kwago founder Czyka Tumaliuan and poet-curator Roy Voragen.

There will be readings, presentations and performances (and cocktails) at Kwago book bar to gather and exchange experiences, thoughts and ideas on queerness, the body, voice, desire, transgression and othering.

The contributions to the zine Nasaan Ang Katawan? are wide-ranging: poetry, photography, illustrations and essays. On saturday, the contributors will be present and share ideas and stories behind their works. Kwago offers a safe space to share critical ideas and personal stories. Each zine comes with an eraser so you could erase and re-write the preface if you wish to.
