Ortigas Foundation The Cordillera

The Ortigas Foundation Library is a special collection Filipiniana library. It was created in 1996 to promote the study of Philippine history, art and culture. It is our aim to encourage and assist students and the general public in researching our rich heritage, history and culture. The library makes available its unique collection of historical books, periodicals and photographs in a quiet setting, conducive to study.

It holds 36,000 books, serials, images and documents relating to Philippine history, some dating as far back as the 17th century in our main library and rare book room. The library also houses a Conservation Laboratory which offers treatment services for the restoration and conservation of books, prints, maps and paintings. Our events room is available to the public for workshops, conferences, book launches, meetings, film showings and the like.

Forging: A Poetry Reading
by UA&P Writers

The image of forging is representative of this small community of poets in UA&P. Forging, as we know it, is an act of creating and shaping one thing into another. It is also what these poets attempt in the risk they take with language, in how it coalesces into new forms of seeing the world, and in the task of paving a clearing for more writers to discover, widen, and expand. This poetry reading introduces some of these UA&P writers to the rest of Ortigas Center.
