The 9th edition of The PPO Spotlight: Virtual Pocket Performances, hosted by pianist and Steinway Artist Dr. Raul Sunico, features the immortal love songs of National Artist for Music Ernani Cuenco. An award-winning film scorer, musical director, music teacher, and seasoned orchestra player, Cuenco echoed the Filipino sense of musicality in his compositions and raised contemporary Filipino music to new artistic heights with his outstanding and memorable body of works. He also enriched the Filipino love ballad by imbuing it with the elements of the kundiman, the Filipino art song, as shown in the classic love songs Bato sa Buhangin, Gaano Ko Ikaw Kamahal, Sa Bawat Sandali, and Nahan.
