Pumayag ba si Delia?

An amalgamation of different forms of aesthetics, philosophies, and principles.

One lazy afternoon, four years ago, Loose Marbles was born in a coffee
shop. The founders — both burned-out digital designers — stumbled upon the concept over tall, black, hot… cups of coffee and a few slices of cake.

In the middle of a crowded, ridiculously expensive coffee shop, while whining and venting about mundane things, such as Gwyneth Paltrow and that guy who sang Yellow’s ‘mutual uncoupling’, came a feeling of extreme sense of loss. Not for Gwennie, but for the versions of themselves trapped in a cycle of endless, curated briefs and color-coordinated deadlines.

Through visual art, music, and the spoken word, Loose Marbles aims to provide a platform for the burned-out and the bored, the forgotten and the rejects, the underdogs and the defeated. For they, too, have something to say. To show. To tell. To celebrate.

Inspired by the #MeToo movement, ‘Pumayag ba si Delia?’ is the group’s take on female sexuality and its power, society’s perception and influence on the female sexual evolution, as well as the prevalence of sexual assault and violence against women.

‘Pumayag ba si Delia?’ — ‘Did Delia consent?’ — is Loose Marbles’ fourth and most daring exhibition yet. A one night art show happening on July 28, 2018 at 6PM in 192 Banlat Road, Quezon City.
