Three-man Exhibition by

Pablo Zingapan
Roger Mond
Soika Vomiter

It feels as though every single moment is but a step away from changing drastically. So many things are happening at the same time leaving us so little to breathe or process anything. It is in this wildness that our thoughts are released; our emotions, unhinged, forcing out words and actions that have been restrained in the past. As chaos surrounds us, sometimes blurting out a hard expletive grants us the clarity to ease our wayward thoughts.

“P@#&%!!!” is a three-man exhibition that aims to showcase the bold and energetic works of Pablo Zingapan, Roger Mond and Soika Vomiter. United by the loudness and kineticism in their works, “P@#&%!!!” gives reprieve to the stresses that have plagued one’s thoughts, and affords the platform to shout out words that can normally not be said.

His works are inspired based on the slums and the community of people who live within them; having grown up in such environment, he aims to explore the root causes of societal divide. His use of striking colors and bold lines are representative of fire and wood, two elements that delineate the lives of the impoverished from the well-off. Roger has participated in numerous group exhibitions and art competitions in Metro Manila, such as the Shell National Student Art Competition in 2016 (Finalist).

Soika Vomiter (b. 1990) is a Leyte/Cebu-based visual artist who graduated from the University of San Carlos – Cebu City with a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts, major in Painting. As a street artist, Soika’s works feature humorous subjects in the form of child-like characters juxtaposed with mature imagery, hinting at his desire to create an environment full of laughter and insanity. The artist names his style as “Abjectoons”, a portmanteau of the words Abject and Cartoons. Abjectoons is defined as abjection in relation to portraying repulsive subjects with cartoon-inspired characters. Soika has exhibited in numerous exhibitions in Metro Manila, including an on-going Solo exhibition in Cebu.
