‘RISE’ features visual translations and optimistic dialogues in the ongoing battle with COVID19 in the midst of matters affecting our emotional and mental state. It presents socio-commentaries on the current political climate in the country and the visions of what the next leadership will face after the elections.

Artworks also project resiliency and hope using non-representational themes emulating progress by the use of movement, rhythm color, and texture. Finally, some devised history and nostalgia execute narratives alluded to with the call of the times.

All of these can be seen in this year-end exhibit presented by Art Anton in cooperation with the University of Santo Tomas Atelier Alumni Association Inc (UST-AAAI).

The organizers present works of Thomasian artists of different styles and disciplines tackling the exhibition theme, ‘RISE. The theme generally means to stand firmly with the conviction that 2022 will be a good year for Filipinos.
