Roby Dwi Antono

Roby Dwi Antono (b.1990) is an Indonesian Contemporary artist. With an extensive background in graphic design, his visual language is depicted using rich, smooth, color-infused brushstrokes that limn a pulsating emotional depth that his characters gravitate to. Roby creates paintings that recall the works of Pop Surrealist founder Mark Ryden and iconic Japanese artist Yoshitomo Nara, but also fuses the aesthetics of Surrealism and Classical Renaissance imagery to create a contemporary juxtaposition that’s all his own. Making waves in the global art scene, Roby has participated in various group exhibitions in the Philippines, Indonesia, Japan, US, UK, and Australia.
