Escuela Taller de Filipinas Foundation, Inc. relaunches its lecture tour on heritage conservation.

SALIN 2020, with new partner institutions still aims to share the ETFFI conservation methodology and how it ties up with its primary mission to train artisans and conservation workers.

Topics included in this lecture series are based on the knowledge and practice that Escuela Taller has gathered over the years while implementing its training program and heritage conservation projects.

The roster of lecturers is composed of members of the Escuela Taller team who will present various learning-by-doing projects at different stages of interventions as their case studies.

This 2nd leg of this year’s lecture series will be held at the PUP Theatre, College of Communication, Sta Mesa Manila. This event is jointly organized by Escuela Taller de Filpinas Foundation, Polytechnic University of the Philippines University Center for Culture and the Arts, Center for Labor and Industrial Relations, College of Arts and Letters Department of Filipinology, College of Architecture and Fine Arts, and Senior High School Arts and Design Track.

MEET OUR SPEAKERS

Meet Escuela Taller’s Technical Team. They are also known as Foundation’s Project Development and Management for Heritage Management Projects. They lead the organization’s conservation programs which mobilize ET graduates and trainees in the implementation of conservation programs on heritage sites.

Interestingly, two of our heritage architects are homegrown PUP talents. Ar. Sarah Pahimnayan (BS Architecture Batch 2014) and Ar Michael Querido (BS Architecture Batch 2015) are proud alumni of the PUP College of Architecture and Fine Arts. It would interesting to know what have they been doing these past years and how have they contributed to our country’s cultural heritage through their work. They will be joined by Ar. Jeffrey Cobilla, Head of our Technical Team.
