The Songs for Peace Project (S4PP) is an initiative of Musika Publiko, a network of socially relevant musicians, in partnership with the Jovenes Foundation Inc., and the Union Theological Seminary and supported by Dominus Digital Connect, SQOE Guitars PH, Coconut House Circle, Baybayin Buhayin, Concerned Artists of the Philippines, BABAI, Gantala Press, Bantayog ng mga Bayani Foundation, MusikArtikulado, and of course the Conspiracy Garden Cafe. The initiative aims to produce songs that speak about the effects of massive displacement and destruction brought about by war, the roots of the armed conflict, and encourage people to act on what needs to be done and can be done in pursuit of just and lasting peace.

Twenty songs in two album collections and recorded by over 60 musicians. Such is the remarkable feat achieved by this unity of composers, musicians, and music producers coming together for just and lasting peace.

Most of the songs were recorded outdoors and produced in broadcast quality in Musika Publiko’s unique song production process. The issues tackled by the songs include unity, genuine change, socio-economic development, just and lasting peace, human rights, and freedom of expression.

Join us on January 23, 2018 7pm-12mn at the Conspiracy Bar, Visayas Avenue, QC as we open 2018 with music that resound of peace, love, faith, hope, and social relevance, featuring the artists of the Finding Peace and Songs of Faith albums.
