Modeka Art is proud to present “SUPERIOR”, a solo exhibition by RA Tijing.
“Pag superior ka, hawak mo lahat”. By definition, “superior” pertains to a higher rank, status, or quality; however for artist RA Tijing, superiority is a matter of politics and human behaviour. Despite Tijing’s bold use of bright colors, with endearing monster-like characters placed in an open landscape, upon closer inspection these works actually draw inspiration from real socio-political and economical issues that plague our society. The exhibition consists of 5 paintings, each serving a visual commentary on a certain issue.
