Dan Nguyen is DMN SLYR. This genre-defying artist has been involved in the music industry since 1996, launching an illustrious DJ / producer career at the age of 16. Along with his impressive and unique production / engineering skills, Nguyen is also a critically acclaimed artist, creative director, muralist and designer, with over 200 exhibitions in numerous museums, galleries, universities and cultural centers. Demon Slayer also holds permanent street installations all around the world, including Japan, New York, Vietnam, Panama City, San Diego, Mexico, Costa Rica, Los Angeles and Indonesia.

Nguyen is the co-founder and creative director for Beat Cinema, the IE’s premiere producer / avant film showcase at the Hip Kitty Jazz Club. He is also a contributing blogger for the world renowned SlamxHype.com and is a member of the internationally recognized Us Versus Them.

Based in Vietnam now but originally from Southern California, Nguyen is currently on a Southeast Asia tour, painting pubic murals and performing his not-to-miss live sets. Nguyen aims to encourage and empower everyone he comes in contact with, either through his work or through personal means.

Born & programmed from outer space, he has landed in the heart of Silicon Valley – San Jose, California. He is the one they call AJ ORBIT & he is quickly circling the solar system with his unique sound. Being raised by wolves, haras of wild unicorns, & tiny robots, he learns to adapt his tasteful musical styles to bring his audience into a frenzy.

In 2010, he put out a self-titled electro/pop EP featuring D.A.W. One (Dwight The Young One). The EP included bootleg hits: Major Lazer’s ” Pon Di Riva ” & Angger Dimas & Vandalism’s ” Throw your Hands up.” In 2011 the Australian Duo and King & Queen of Vicious Recordings, Vandalism, heard the “Throw your Hands UP” bootleg & that inspired Vandalism to create “Rockin’ (In the Place)” feat. Dwight The Young One. “Rockin’ ( In the Place)” hit #3 on the ARIA, Australia’s top music chart. AJ ORBIT has also released original tracks with Fierce Animals Recordings. With remixes released from All Caps Recordings, Blacklights Music, & Fierce Animals Recordings.

While performing , you can’t help but dance to his sounds. His love for the art of Dance influences his style & lives up to his motto ” Feel the music & Dance.” His contagious, never-ending energy will remind you that it is great to be alive. He is sometimes called “Walking Red Bull” or ” A Ball of Energy” and is an insomniac because he is busy creating music to put you in a dance awe.
