For over a year, our time seems much slower, and our life has been monotonous and bland. Even we are still moving at a normal speed in our daily lives, this pandemic has been dragging us little by little over time because of the current constraints and the limitations in doing our normal way of living.

The “Timelapse” Solo Exhibit portrays both the current situation of the people’s emotions and the reality that time moves so fast, we barely notice how we really are right now. It depicts the mix of feelings and emotions such as boredom, weariness, anxiety, hope, love, and faith.

Technically speaking, timelapse is a photographic technique to record changes of motion that take place slowly over a period of time. When the frames are shown at normal speed, the action seems much faster. Similar to the subjects of the paintings which reveal our life in slow-motion, while the full moons are repetitively positioned and the constellations are dispersed randomly in space which signifies the fast pace of time as a significant part of our history in this lifetime.
