IT’S UNBOXING TIME! 📦
The Cultural Center of the Philippines proudly presents Unboxed!, the opening or “unboxing” of the Tanghalang Ignacio Gimenez (CCP Black Box Theater) or TIG.
The formal inauguration will consist of an outdoor program that begins with Ritual Offerings by the Ramon Obusan Folkloric Group (ROFG), and the unveiling of the TIG logo and the First Performance Season. This will be followed by performances and audio-visual presentations inside the auditorium, that will include Lumbera and San Pedro’s “Araw-Araw Sa Maynila;” a tribute to Ignacio Gimenez; excerpts from the plays of Wilfrido Ma. Guerrero; dance/video performances; excerpts from the 1st Season at the TIG, including Tanghalang Pilipino’s “Anak Datu,” Repertory Philippines’ “Carousel,” De La Salle College of St. Benilde’s “Ang Dakilang Teatro ng Daigdig;” Ternocon’s Winning Designs with ROFG dancers; and a performance by tenor Arthur Espiritu. The program’s finale will include excerpts from “Aurelio Sedisyoso,” “Kanser the Musical,” and “Mabining Mandirigma.”
