Workshop for Young Film Programmers

 

 

Join the UP Film Institute, in cooperation with the Film Development Council of the Philippines, as it hosts Japan Foundation Asia Center’s “Working Title” workshop for young film programmers.

Free screening of monumental and award-winning films of premier artists from the Philippines, Malaysia, Japan, Indonesia, and Thailand.

The public is also welcome to attend the lectures included in the workshop.

There will be a masterclass entitled “The Ins and Outs of Festival Programming” to be delivered by QCinema Film Festival director Prof. Ed Lejano and film critic and programmer Mr. Chris Fujiwara.

Artistic director of Image Forum Festival Mr. Koyo Yamashita will also do a lecture on “A Historical Perspective on Japanese Experimental Films: Focus on 70’s” with a handful of Japanese experimental films all throughout the lecture.

Lastly, a symposium on the “Future Perspective for Film Programming” is also billed to take place.
