We’re pleased to have Weining Hung from Taiwan-based LUCfest 貴人散步音樂節 music showcase festival and an international manager for some of Asia’s rising acts at #AOTN2019!

What does it take for an independent musician from Asia to break into the almost impenetrable and saturated global music scene? This segment attempts to explore the case of regional acts capturing the hearts of the global audience.

We’re also excited to have Thailand-based ฟังใจ – Fungjai and Bangkok Music City’s Py Muenprasertdee at #AOTN2019 to shed light on what it takes to mount a DIY international tour for independent musicians.

Touring is essential in promoting a new record, building a following outside the country, and gaining exposure.

From booking shows in key Asian cities (and elsewhere) to planning out logistics, this segment will offer insight on organizing a tour and working with independent and established agencies, promoters, music venues, and music productions.

We’re honored to have Singapore-based SG MUSO’s president, David Siow, to speak at #AOTN2019 Music Talks about Singapore’s music tourism.

With concerted efforts from both the government and private sector, Singapore is fast-becoming the top destination in Asia for music shows and festivals. This segment will focus on the model city’s progress as a music hub and how it was able to surmount its many challenges.

We’re gaining a homegrown perspective at #AOTN2019 from Camille Castillo, editorial director of Bandwagon Asia and country representative (Bandwagon Philippines) about the role music journalism plays in today’s digital landscape.

This segment will explore the importance of music journalism in promoting breakthroughs and relevant issues surrounding the music industry as a whole. The topic will also focus on the valuable contributions of music journalism in today’s music consumption, and how it can affect positive change in the lives of musicians, music fans, and the society in general.

Progressing at a rapid speed, the Southeast Asian music market has a formidable digital economy forecasted to grow more than six-fold in the next five years. At present, it’s also considered to be one of the biggest music markets for a number of established and upcoming music acts all over the world.

JAM 88.3, the premier radio station for PH artists, program director and DJ Lambert Cruz will moderate the panel at #AOTN2019.

Joining our #AOTN2019 Music Talks panel discussion is Evan Murray of LIVE AT HEART, Live At Heart Newfoundland, and Wonderwall Media. One of his deepest passions and goals are to make people aware of the Burin Peninsula, and the Islands of St. Pierre and Miquelon, and export artists from the Atlantic regions of Canada.
