ONSTAGE GAMES: Anime Game Challenge
Pinoy Otaku Festival started engaging games on stage, making it part of pop culture conventions ever since. This year we are bringing you another set of exciting games and challenges on stage, together with hosts that will add more fun and excitement.
• ANIME SINGING BEE (May 4, Saturday) – Hosted by your ultimate game master Karasu. How well do you know anime songs? Take your chances as you complete, sing, and try to guess various anime songs with varying levels of difficulty.
• ANIME FEUD (May 5) – Hosted by the fun, and amazing host, ChojiTV/Kiel Se. This game fits two groups that will battle it out against each other in a trivia competition based on survey responses from anime fans. To win, you must guess answers on the board, and the player with the most points after three rounds goes into the Fast Money round!
• DEAL OR NO DEAL: OTAKU EDITION (May 5, Sunday) – Hosted by David D’Angelo aka Master Pogi PH. With 26 sealed briefcases full of varying amounts of cash – ranging from a penny to Php500─ and the mysterious entity known only as “the Banker,” contestants are faced with a game of odds and chance and whether to accept an offer of cash from “the Banker” in exchange for what might be contained in the contestant’s chosen briefcase.
• ANIME WEAKEST LINK – The game begins with a team of eight or nine contestants who take turns answering general knowledge questions within a time limit to create chains of correct answers in a row. At the end of each round, the players vote one contestant, “The Weakest Link”, out of the game. Once two players are left, they play in a head-to-head contest, with five questions asked to each contestant in turn, to determine the winner.
