Samsung Performing Arts Theater celebrates International Dance Day with a week-long festival highlighting the best Filipino dance artists and talents. From April 24 to April 28, Samsung Performing Arts Theater will host over 500 dance artists representing different dance genres in a week-long celebration of the beauty and magic of dance. Catch your favorite local dance companies all on one stage as they showcase their talent in a celebration you surely don’t want to miss.

• April 28 (Sunday): 7:30 PM – Contemporary Dance Gala

International Dance Day was created by the Dance Committee of the International Theatre Institute (ITI), the main partner for the performing arts of UNESCO. Celebrated annually during the last Monday of April, International Dance Day (IDD) is a global initiative promoting the value and importance of the art form of dance and its impact in every community’s economic and cultural growth.

A rare gathering of the country’s best dance companies and artists in folk, street, ballet and contemporary dance on one stage performing live and showcasing their world class talents. The week-long festival will also feature workshops and lectures on dance in film, health and wellness, dance history and will have a dance bazaar and marketplace in the lobby.

The 2024 International Dance Day Festival is presented in part by Make It Makati and Circuit Makati, with support from the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) and the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA).
