Natural Progression: Propagation and Rebirth

June 5 – 19, 2021

Unit 4021 East Wing, Shangri-La Plaza Mall, EDSA cor. Shaw Boulevard, 1552 Mandaluyong, Philippines
We have seen how the quarantine and the resultant confinement in the closed quarters of our homes have given gardening a renewed interest. This is symptomatic of a greater regeneration that the natural world has experienced, with the lessened intervention of man because of the worldwide quarantines. In a way, it allowed us to renew our connection with the natural world, and see, from a different perspective, how interconnected everything is, and how we fit in the natural scheme of things.

What started out as a plant-inspired exhibition prior to the quarantine of 2020 is reprised by Galerie Stephanie. A loose survey of contemporary art inspired by the natural world and greenery, now with a broader geographic scope to represent the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand and beyond; is undertaken with Natural Progression: Propagation and Rebirth.
