Orgullo Compound, a full-length play written by Dr. Layeta Bucoy, centers around Teofie Orgullo, a strong-headed, frustrated, gay chemistry professor who also owns and manages an apartment compound he inherited from his deceased father. Teofie has a lot of things going on: he struggles to secure his tenure in the academe; his compound is gradually dilapidating due to poor maintenance; his personal relationships with people living in the same compound with him are on the verge of imploding.
