Side-by-Side with WSH: A Beachside Drawing Jam on Creative Grit
|
La Union, Philippines — BAD KOMIKS and Lifeboat LU invite young creatives to draw, reflect, and grow together at Drawing Jams, a beachside co-learning session on May 16, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 6:30 PM at Lifeboat LU, a local homestay and creative studio in Lingsat, San Fernando City, La Union.
This edition features WSH, a widely respected Filipino artist whose work spans multimedia art, design, and creative entrepreneurship. Drawing Jams offers participants a rare opportunity to sketch side by side with WSH in an open studio format—sharing process, stories, and creative momentum in real-time.
No lectures. No rigid formats. Just hands-on art, honest conversation, and communal flow. The session is based on the idea that creativity thrives not in isolation, but through exchange—where artists witness, remix, and learn from one another.
“It’s part studio hangout, part creative ritual, and part crash course in building a sustainable life around your art—without compromising your values,” said Czyka Tumaliuan, writer and co-founder of Lifeboat LU.
With the theme “What is home for you?”, participants are invited to sketch, flow, and share their process with others. WSH’s live drawing process will be projected for the group to watch, while light prompts and peer sharing will guide the session. Writers, entrepreneurs, content creators, and visual storytellers are also encouraged to join, especially those interested in comics, illustration, and visual language.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
- Live Q&A and intimate sharing with WSH on his creative journey: stories of failure, grit, and staying true to yourself while building a thriving creative life
