The UECFAD on its 50th Anniversary remains true to its goal which is to help students exhibit their innate talent and immeasurable artistry through diverse events that will encourage them to connect in various participatory art projects inside the university and in their local communities.
Thus, the success of last year’s ballpen art competition paved the way to its fourth year as major artistic event in CAMANAVA. This year, we also open the competition for high school students and divide the contest into two (2) categories: Secondary and Collegiate
Sininglangan-Quatro 2015 Inter-School On-the-Spot Ballpen Art Competition is a project of the University of the East – Office of the Cultural Affairs and College of Fine Arts, Architecture and Design in cooperation with National Commission for Culture and the Arts in celebration of Philippine Arts Festival with our long time partner, Dong-A Philippines.
COMPETITION RULES
DATE AND VENUE:
March 3, 2015, Tuesday, UE CFAD, Caloocan Campus
TIME:
Registration – 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. only at the 5th floor of TYK Academic Building
Competition – 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at TYK rooms and TYK study areas
Awarding Ceremony – 5:00 PM onwards, Lucio C. Tan Auditorium
QUALIFIED PARTICIPANTS:
CATEGORY A: High School
All enrolled High School students from Public and Private Schools in NCR and Luzon.
CATEGORY B: Collegiate
All bona fide Fine Arts, Architecture and Design students of the following universities and colleges:

MECHANICS:
- A maximum of eight (8) participants for collegiate and five (5) for high school are allowed to join per institution. Final list of participants with the accomplished entry form with the certification from the adviser or dean shall be submitted to the Competition Organizer on or before February 27, 2015 personally, via fax (telefax no: +632 362-3813) or email at uecfad_sininglanganballpenart@yahoo.com
- You may coordinate to your Dean, Department Head and Principal regarding your participation and we encourage all the participating schools to assist your students with assigned coaches or mentors.
- All entries must be original and must follow the specifications stated below.
- Bring university / school ID for verification upon registration.
- Only one (1) artwork entry per participant will be accepted. Photo references, studies or sketches are allowed but must be presented in printed copy upon registration.
- There is no participation FEE.
- The competition organizers will own all the rights to the winning entries. Therefore, these will automatically become the properties of the UE Office of the Cultural Affairs. The UECFAD / OCA reserve the right to use the name and the photo of the artist and his/her entry for free in any broadcast, telecast, print and other medium.
- Judges reserve the right not to award the prizes if the entries do not meet or violate certain artistic and competition requirements. Judges’ decisions shall be final and irrevocable.
