Lauren Antonio is a senior under the Performance Track of the Theater Arts program of De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde. With her background in chorale singing and dancesport, her interest in performing began at age 14. One of her first acting roles in Benilde was in El Mar de Sangre in 2019, written by Dr. Layeta Bucoy with direction by Tuxqs Rutaquio. Additionally, she has been in several of the program’s other productions, active in both the acting department and production department. In 2020, she co-founded Maiba 18 Productions along with her batchmates and has since then been producing and acting alongside them. Her recent works include Wreckage written by Katrina Stuart Santiago and directed by Jenny Logico Cruz; Doc Anna… Let’s Kill this Lab written by Dr. Layeta Bucoy with direction by Tuxqs Rutaquio; and Indayugang Banal: Isang Superpowered Komedya written by Carlo Vergara with direction by Tuxqs Rutaquio. Here, she continues her acting and theatre journey.
